THE ERNITEC DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER - THE GALAXY
Ernitec is now introducing a new product - The Ernitec GALAXY digital video recorder –which represents the latest technology within the digital age of video recording. The system makes it possible to record video from up to 16 cameras to the built-in hard disc.

WHY USE A DIGITAL RECORDER?
In order to solve a crime or to describe a sequence of events it will often be valuable if you could go back in time and visually see what happened at a certain event. The GALAXY digital video recorder (DVR) gives you this possibility.

When installing video cameras and connecting these to the GALAXY you will have the possibility of video recording of all the cameras at the same time. The pictures that have been recorded, can easily be played again via a video monitor. To put it short, the GALAXY can help increase the percentage of solving a crime considerably. A modern times’ “Sherlock Holmes”.

This kind of recordings are often needed in today’s society and under conditions like for example:

The Ernitec R131VX LON® based telemetry receiver is designed for control of a range of variable speed DC pan/tilt heads and motorised zoom lenses.

The telemetry receiver converts the data signals from the System-X keyboard into control voltages operating pan/tilt heads and zoom lenses. The advanced R131VX DC telemetry receiver offers a range of features making the daily operation easy and very fast. 128 pre-defined camera positions and 4 individual guard tours can be selected very quickly.

The System-X matrixes provide the video switching in small, medium and large CCTV installations. The matrixes are ideal for installations covering around 10 cameras all the way up to more than 1000 cameras. Similarly, the matrixes can accommodate from just a few monitors all the way up to 96 monitors. The system can be expanded whenever needed.

The matrixes provide text insertion including camera texts as well as alarm and status information.

All communication between the matrix and peripheral equipment such as keyboards, telemetry receivers and alarm I/O devices is done over a LON network. The use of the LON network offers a number of advantages such as configuration of all equipment from one point, using a laptop PC, free routing of the control cabling as well as the availability of standard network components such as repeaters, routers and converters.

The System-X matrixes can be programmed for automatic operation by using macros and sequences.

The daily operation of the system is done via the ergonomically designed keyboard or via activated alarms. System-X features an advanced handling of alarms which can be generated from simple door contacts, access card readers, intruder detectors, fire detectors, light control or more advanced alarm detectors, such as video movement detectors. Up to a total of 1024 alarms can be handled by the matrix. It furthermore has the ability to activate up to 1024 auxiliary outputs, such as lights, gates and other devices.

Operating a video matrix should be easy and straightforward. The keyboard for the Ernitec System-X has been designed with that in mind all the way from the appearance of it to the layout of the keys, the functionality and the menu structures.
