In many CCTV installations, particularly the larger ones, it is often necessary to use the same video signal for different purposes. For example, a signal from a camera may need to be routed to both one or more matrixes and one or more multiplexers at the same time. In order to maintain a high signal quality level, it is necessary to use a Video Distribution Amplifier (VDA).

Ernitec offers two types of VDAs, RVD-164 and RVD-164A. Both of these are 16 channels with 4 outputs each, i.e. they are capable of distributing 16 different video signals to four outputs each. The main difference between the two types is that the RVD-164A offers indications for Missing Video, Missing Sync Indication and Open Video Circuit.
