Dallmeier Network Interface (DNI)

The Dallmeier Network Interface, DNI for short, has been available for shipment since January.
Using this data interface various kinds of access controls, user panels, and cash dispensers (ATMs) from different manufacturers can be connected with the serial port of the DMS hard disk recorder.

An easy to use configuration menu enables the adjustment of all necessary parameters and the device can be installed on a remote site up to 1200 metres away.

Conversion to the special protocol which is optimised to transmit user data with minimum network loading takes place directly at the interface. The galvanic separation of each interface module connection up to 1KV ensures safety.

The network power supply is via BUS cabling and can be provided centrally for several interface units (up to 4 units per power supply).

Single track protection with TA-24

A camera specific track can be saved by security staff via the keyboard TA-24.

Dallmeier Radio Clock unit

From version 4.3.4 onwards the recorder’s system time is synchronised using the radio clock (DFM - 1 )

Suitable for use with all Dallmeier recorders ( DLS / DMS 2nd and 3rd generation and EMP recorder )

Synchronisation is based on the DCF-77 signal (Frankfurt/Main) and can be received within a radius of 1,500 km of central Germany.

The DFM-1 radio clock is linked with one of the two RS 232 interfaces, which is set to "Radio Clock" in the interface menu.
The recorder system time is only adjusted if the two times differ by less than 1,000 seconds.

From the clock menu you can see whether the current time is already synchronized or not.
Radio Clock: not synchronised / synchronised

The time is not synchronised in a single step but by slowly and gradually adjusting the original time (this can be in either direction). This process can take several minutes.

From recorder version 4.3 onwards it is possible to set up the radio clock for different time zones. If the recorder is not to be used within the central European time zone, you can use the time zone menu to set another time zone. When the device is restarted it will use the new time zone.

From recorder version 4.4 onwards you can synchronise several recorders using a single radio clock module linked to one of the recorders - the latter being used as a time server. When the IP address belonging to the recorder with the radio clock is entered as the time server in the time menus for the other recorders in the network, they too are synchronised to the correct time
